Estancia Los Potreros

Cordoba, Argentina

Estancia Los Potreros is an exclusive 6,500 acre working cattle farm, delightfully secluded at the top of the Sierras Chicas in Cordoba, yet less than an hour from an international airport. Farmed by the family for four generations, today Kevin and Louisa Begg delight in welcoming guests to share their home and lifestyle, providing a unique and unforgettable riding holiday.

Every day at the estancia is different. Canter along grassy hilltops; take a dip in natural rock pools; visit local churches on horseback; help the gauchos bring in the cattle or round up the young horses; learn how to lasso or take on the locals at gaucho games - and no trip to Argentina would be complete without trying your hand at polo!

The herd of over 130 horses provides something for everyone, and for riders of all abilities. Sure-footed and tough criollos. Energetic and smooth gaited Peruvian Paso horses. Strong and even-tempered quarter horses. Agile and fast polo ponies. They are soft-mouthed, forward going and with wonderful temperaments, typical of working horses who lead varied lives and are free to roam on the hills in their downtime. Many are home-bred and raised on the estancia.

Out of the saddle meals are always a highlight and you can enjoy the best of Argentine food and wine, with home-reared beef washed down with own label Malbec and great conversation.
